I love when Daylight Savings occurs and the days are longer!! For this night owl who enjoys exercising after work (rather than before), it means more light to keep me going even after I clock out at the office.
I'm energized by the warmer weather and am seriously contemplating the purchase of a new toy: a bike! I've calculated my commute distance and it's an even mile. While I've been walking to work this week, a bike would make that commute even sweeter. Do you all know of some great bikes for a gal on a budget? I'm not looking for anything fancy and want to keep my overall costs (bike, helmet, basket and horn) under $250.
As always, now is the time to share my workout activities for this week (beginning last Wednesday to today). I hope they keep you motivated to record your own workouts. I'll be labeling the activities "L" for "leisure" and "V" for "vigorous" based on the basics I shared in a previous post:
3/9 (Wed.): Ran 4.5 miles in preparation for my half-marathon on 3/26 (eek!) (V)
3/12 (Sat.): Did one hour of boot camp at Jordin's Paradise (V)
3/12 (Sat.): Walked around town to run errands (approximately 2 miles) (L)
3/15 (Tues.): Walked to/from work from my house (2 miles) (L)
Two vigorous and two leisurely activities. Not bad. How are your workouts going??
